If only I could write like #FannyHowe (my birthday twin), I can’t imagine the terrain I might be able to cover. I shared this yesterday, “The Message,” with 12 brilliant PhD in poetry candidates @usc_cwphd. Back in the classroom practicing one of the most rewarding, beautiful vocations I know: teaching. We read this aloud and all marveled together. There are so many ways to engage Howe, but my first response is always just pure awe, then profound admiration.
