Ok the fact that I have had HUNDRED’S of DM’s from people of all shapes and sizes who struggle to find knee high boots to fit their calves right now tells me that we have a problem! I think it’s about time our fave brands started producing boots in either a variety of sizes or with fabrics that can accomodate different shaped bodies! So much of the fashion right now features cute knee high boots and I felt really discouraged going into stores and not being able to fit into any! I’ve always had muscular calves- even when I was thinner and in my 30odd years on this earth I’ve never owned a knee high boot because of this. Cue the desperate googling- every wide fit boot I came across felt like it missed the mark in terms of fashion and I didn’t want to sacrifice my look with a boot I hated. Light bulb moment once I realised you could alter boots... sounds crazy but I never realised you could!! Once I figured this out, I found @hamidzapatero and he altered these boots to fit perfectly. Adding a panel either side of the zip- it is OH SO SATISFYING hearing the sound of the zip go all the way up and not get stuck on my ankle. Look- It’s an investment but worth it- if you can find a boot that fits that you love- you can hang onto it through trends and seasons!
