Going to the @bobdylancenter today was educational in all the ways I wanted. Reading his letters and poetry in person felt intimate. It really isn’t just a museum of @bobdylan , but also a celebration of the evolution of music, the progress of social structures through art, and the folk beauty of the 60s and 70s. My favorite was the section of Jerry Schatzberg photography. He really captured Bob Dylan in the ways I recall his image. When you work with records all day it can become numbing to how much goes behind an album, especially the artwork. Even if you aren’t into Bob Dylan, I think this museum really inspired me to write and work harder. A great way to end this Tulsa weekend trip.
