Had the honor of being profiled for @print_mag, interviewed by the wonderful @scarlettepeach ☺️
This is probably the most extensive and personal conversation shared on the worldwide web at the moment for me 🫢 link in bio!

It’s been only four years of doing this freelance/self-employed thing mostly alone, and to be honest: I’ve been teetering in and out of the room that is photography as I consider what my long-term career goals are. Learning everything by myself has been overwhelming yet rewarding and it feels like a dream sometimes. But there have been moments where it has been completely debilitating and pushed me towards the brink of quitting photo as a whole. Don’t fret, there was an epiphany.
I am very thankful for all the experiences these last few years––good and bad––for teaching me and helping me realize what I enjoy and don’t enjoy. I look for this balance by weighing the joy and misery in this kind of work, finding middle ground while leaving room for spontaneity and experimentation, to guide me on a path that narrows in on my specialty, whatever that may be... photo or not. I now know what I can and don’t want to do, but not to say I will be committed against anything, it just isn’t the right time and I’m keeping an open mind.
It’s nice to have goals, but keep your expectations low— is my advice. The important thing is to just keep doing *something* towards it, and stay true to yourself. I’m not going anywhere and will forever be in the art department. I just know there is still so much to learn and people to meet. This is just me celebrating the small wins for a moment, because there are more things to do.

TLDR: I have a love-hate relationship with working in photo, and considered switching careers, but instead I’m going to just keep going and doing what I want on my own terms. Have a nice day! 😬
