It feels good to be diving in NC again. The consecutive days out on @the_anniston_quinn were a stark contrast to the ocean conditions I’ve been diving in Alaska all summer: Warmer blue water devoid of kelp or the beautiful emerald greens I’ve become accustomed to. Not better or worse, just a totally different type of diving. I was overheating in my @riffe_international 3.5 Vortex suit, so I eventually went “Tarzan” style, just diving in my suit pants. 78 degrees Fahrenheit is a little different than 7mm suits in 46 degrees, as you can imagine. I was able to knock out some 130-140’ dives comfortably, stretching my breathing muscles. Normal breathing afterwards felt like I was inhaling like a humpback whale, the sensation of cool air in the deepest reaches of my lungs a juxtaposition to my inner body temperature. To top it all off, I was diving with two radical hunters, @carl__brubach and @hunts_hevs who were both slaying with their Riffe guns. Marauder 63” and Euro 130’s made our rendezvous with the filet table a happily time consuming venture, each of us returning to our clans with plenty of meat. @ibreathewater. #speartotable #riffe
