t/w miscarriage What I would tell my 24 year old self - This loss is not a reflection of the mother you are. Be gentle with yourself. You could not have prevented this. I’ll never forget being in the hospital, calling a nurse because I had just passed her or him. No one tells you about the contractions you’re going to have to pass something that isn’t breathing. To birth death is such a twisted act of life. To birth someone you’ll never know is something no one should have to experience.. but 1 in 4 women do. So many of us live in shame over something we do not control. You are not alone in this storm. I know it feels like you’re drowning, I have been there. This overwhelmingly loud thunder and rain the covers up our tears does stop You will be you again. Take time for yourself. Allow yourself to mourn, to grieve. Today is infant and pregnancy loss awareness day and I hope anyone who has or will deal with this does not go through this alone. If you have no support, I’m here 💚
