More from "The Nan Movie". Actor Jack Doolan as Nan’s husband, Terry. In the film we see Joanie / Nan with Terry in the twenties and then again in middle age when Terry is in hospital before his death aged in his late 50’s. This makeup, and the middle aged version of Nan who shares the scene, weren’t going to happen. Okay, to clarify, I knew they were going to happen as well as everyone else because story wise, etc they needed to look this age and needed prosthetics to show it... but somehow production manager/ producer and whoever were in charge of approving it were in financial denial. Of course when it was obvious we did have to do this we were already filming so the makeups had to be done quick and simple. @Morgankimber.fx did a lovely job of sculpting and moulding the subtle cheek pieces and the rest was latex bald cap and out the kit. Wig and co-design by Vanessa White. Jack only filmed one day and we didn’t get a chance to test this makeup so it was flying by the seat of our pants. I think it turned out well considering the limitations. As usual we did this makeup earlier in the ay and then jack got left in his trailer for most of the day waiting to be filmed....
