New York City used to scare me. It reminds me of everything I once was and no longer am. I’ve come to the realization that it doesn’t matter how bad certain memories can be, I can not let them dictate my present life. Those memories can no longer hurt me. My past can’t no longer hurt me and neither NYC. It's time to build new memories, write new stories, discover new pieces of my broken heart. It’s time to build upon the strength I have finally discovered within myself. It’s time to be proud and fierce.
