Summer’s ending and I haven’t properly introduced my jumping platforms. I had a vision for this monstrosity ever since first seeing the pond. I always dreamed of having my own cliff jump, but there weren’t too many cliffs into water on the market. So I designed, engineered, and built my own. The bottom platform is 7’, middle is 15’, and the top is 25’. I’ve been doing it everyday and it’s still a thrill. I had help from a number of friends, especially @kevinhayden. He helped me figure out the location and how to actually assemble the thing using pulleys and levers. We placed the first bolt last October and worked through the dead of winter. It was mostly done by the beginning of summer and I put the finishing touches in mid-July. The nice part about being a little older is having the experience, resources, and work ethic to fulfill the dreams I had when I was younger. Anyway, come swim and let me know if you have any better names for this tower aside from “jumping platforms”.
