this is my friend Flor Macias @flomaci ⭐️ she and I have been putting our hands together to make a little gathering that is connective, playful, and nurturing to our creative hearts. if it calls to you and you want to learn more, i’ve updated my website so that you can get a clearer picture of the event we are hosting, the purpose of my work, and the portrait sessions i have available - everything you need to know is at the link in my bio 🕯❣️🤲 as for these photos - they were made in the southern California hills with a lot of love and delight. when i asked her for some words to describe the look she wanted, she said “adorned”. i had recently scored some pretty fabric and scarves from an estate sale, and they seemed perfect for what she described. we spent some time in the mirror making her outfit and talking through how we felt as the vision began to be illuminated before us. I am in awe! to share and show your body in any way can bring up a lot of complicated feelings and thoughts to the surface. knowing that, i try to hold the truth of the moment with care. there is so much to be celebrated, and her willingness to make these pictures helped me bring love to many of my parts. they remind me why I create in the first place. Flor is one of my beacons for the sensual life. a life dripping in full bodied flavor. at our event this Sunday, she will be bringing her sense for the senses through food and meditation, and I will be holding us as we share and learn from one another's creative processes. you’re invited!
