Every now and again I’m super fortunate to play a small part in some amazing stories. I was introduced to Niyah & Violet from a mutual friend. They relocated to Arizona had rented an apartment but knew they didn’t want renew their lease. They wanted to be homeowners. Here’s where it gets fun. Niyah met me in my office on a Saturday to drop off the remaining docs we needed to issue a pre-approval. While we sat and discussed things she asked me a question. “Do the underwriters care if I spend some of my savings? Will that mess up our pre-approval?” Obviously my stomach turned initially. She went on to explain her and Violet we’re going to Greece, she bought the engagement ring and intended to propose. Now, spending money on an engagement ring isn’t exactly recommended while you’re in the process to buy a home but these women had done a great job of preparing for the moment before they ever knew who I was. So it made no impact on the pre-approval. They began house hunting that next Friday and were under contract that same day. Huge shout to @moniewilder for delivering such an amazing experience for these women from start to finish. Under contract on Friday. Off to Greece the following Wednesday. Engaged that week. Came home, received their clear to close and then closed on their very 1st home. Talk about a whirlwind! This is a story I’ll carry forever. Congratulations Niyah & Vi on your 1st home & engagement.
