church unity- it's both encouraging and discouraging. this past week i got to film a summer camp for highland baptist church. for context, that's not the church i call home in waco. i'll say this-it's so encouraging to be apart of a city like waco that fights for church unity! the Lord is doing such a work in waco, and it's a joy to be apart of the body of Christ here. i say it's also discouraging because it doesn't feel normal. yet in waco i would say it feels normal and that's incredible. i believe it's God's heart to unify his church. scripture is so clear on this-psalm 133:1, 1 Peter 3:8, 1 Corinthians 1:10, Romans 15:5-these are just a few!! i was struck this past week by the joy it brought me to come alongside the work of another church. it was a sweet reminder that the "big C church" does exist and that we should be praying and seeking out unity among God's people. may we look forward to the day that revelation 7:9-10 and revelation 19:6-8 will be a reality! what a joy it is that we know the end of the story- praise Jesus!
