An Open Letter to Friends, Followers, and the Skate Community: This last year has been tough on Moonlight Roller just as it has been on many businesses and families around the country and the world. Between unsuccessful projects and COVID induced supply chain issues, cash-flow has been difficult. Maintaining stock levels and restocking product has simply been impossible at times. Thanks to the love and support from the skate community, we grew too big, too fast, and this, coupled with these other problems put us in a difficult position. For this, we are sorry. This strain finally resulted in the unfortunate furlough of our staff at the end of September. At the time of the furlough our intention was to offer each employee their positions back at their previous capacities after a two-week period. Employees were written checks for the wages owed to them. After other payments cleared the bank a small number of these employee checks bounced. This was entirely unintentional. Upon learning of this, we immediately attempted to resolve this situation. All employees were quickly paid everything they were owed, and no payments to employee wages are outstanding. At no point has Moonlight ever acted to delay or interfere with unemployment claims. After much consideration, we decided a fresh start was needed and chose not to retain any team members.
