On July 30, 1954, 19 year old Elvis, played his first live performance on a Memphis stage called the Overton Park Shell. Many historians say it was the first Rock-N-Roll concert in history. I have heard the wonderful news today that The Shell in Memphis has chosen to return to its historic name as the Overton Park Shell.
