Thanks to @cyclingweeklymagazine for giving me a platform to share how I've been doing since starting my medical transition last year. (Link in bio) It's been a wild ride and I'm so happy to have finally started. My body and mind feel so much more aligned and miles better than where I was previously. I'm so lucky to be in a place where I've started relatively soon after coming out, which isn't the reality for most trans people across the UK and world. I'm so grateful for those around me that are supporting me through this journey, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds a lot.
The article has been framed around sport as I understand there's a lot of discourse around trans participation in sport recently, and I've wanted to add my experience to this. I've experienced a lot of physical and emotional changes since starting hormones, and I'm open to any questions that people may have about my experience or the wider topic( I probably won't have all the answers unfortunately).
Whilst I'm excited about the future, I'm also pretty anxious too. There's been some pretty vile stuff that's happened before and I know it's likely this will continue going forwards. I can't predict the future though so hopefully I'll be proven wrong.
