Friday was a punch in the gut. The decision was not surprising, but undoubtedly it was surreal. I never imagined I’d live in a country that would rescind the rights of a people... as in, take them away... in 2022? Crazy. This reality is a painful reminder of how fragile our democracy is and why we must always fight to protect it. There’s a lot of work to do!
