“When we’re disconnected from our culture, we start out as tourists within our own cultures. As we learn more and regain that familiarity, amazing things happen.” Natalie Pepin, founder of ReSkilled Life, located an hour outside of Edmonton, shares her story and recalls her journey of reconciliation and reconnecting to the land. As a Harvard graduate, Pepin found herself returning home to her roots and seeking a simpler life, similar to her ancestors who lived off the land. As an Indigenous woman, Natalie seeks to bring her traditions, stories, and culture to life in the centre. At ReSkilled Life, Pepin bridges two worlds. With this as a firm guiding light, ReSkilled Life offers both domestic homesteading and Indigenous arts focused workshops.
