Ciao :)
⠀
Far Breton aux pruneaux and solo picnic on a leaf.
⠀
The far breton is a specialty from Brittany, it’s like a very dense clafoutis and although it’s not exactly what you would think about during summer, it’s perfect when it’s cold from the fridge for a 5pm snack.
Plus it takes 5 min to make. And like all good things in life it requires butter, vanilla and rum.
⠀
500g Agen pitted prunes
250g flour
100g caster sugar
4 eggs
100g salted butter
1 big vanilla pod
1 liter whole milk
1 tbsp rum
butter and caster sugar for the cake pan
⠀
Oven at 200 degrees.
First line your pan with butter and sugar.
Melt the 100gr salted butter and put aside.
Mix together the flour and sugar. Add your eggs one by one with a whisk. Then add the milk, rum and vanilla seeds. And finally the melted butter.
Arrange the pitted prunes all over the pan. Pour the mixture over and put in the oven for 1h to 1h20. Let sit and keep in the fridge until cold.
