Fresh off the heels of our summer session, we’re currently recruiting elders (ages 55+) and teens (ages 14-19) to participate in our upcoming Fall 2022 MIND THE GAP program, in partnership with @bklynlibrary! In 2009, #NYTW created MIND THE GAP, a free intergenerational theatre workshop that fosters meaningful dialogue among artists and audiences of diverse backgrounds and generations. Elders and teens interview each other over the course of 12 in-person sessions with participants working in intergenerational pairs to write plays inspired by their partner’s personal stories. No theatre experience is required to participate in the program! All sessions will take place in-person at the Brooklyn Public Library–Central Library (10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, NY) every Wed at 4–6PM ET throughout Oct–Dec 2022.
