It’s been years since I’ve been back to Toronto, and I’m so happy @sonicboommusic is still going strong. If I had a list of my top 10 record shops I’ve been to, Sonic Boom would definitely make the cut... it’s impossible to leave without a tote full. The place is massive and so well curated. I also feel they have the best band T-Shirts. This time around I grabbed Air, Poolside, and the Submarine soundtrack... and found a really awesome Robert Smith shirt. Last time I think I grabbed the New York Dolls, Television, and a Buzzcocks shirt.... It really just is a treasure chest. Anyways. I felt I needed to show some record shop love, and I really miss Toronto. I love living in Dallas & working Spinster Records, but any time I come here I do feel whole. I see family, I feel safe, and I love the pulse here.
