The past days I’ve been so deeply touched by life. By its beauty and its cycle. Tears flowed of pure bliss knowing that a little bird that I rescued three years ago in German moving box could change the way I looked at the world and all I perceive. My dearest Nuni, thank you for showing me that magic exists, right in the spaces where we don’t expect it to be. You made me understand what home was when your wiggly bum would run up the stairs to see me at the end of a day. You showed me how to be amazed by the smallest of plants and the way they moved in the wind. Made me giggle at moments I was down at my knees praying to something above. Knowing that connection wasn’t something different than me but the presence of the moment I was able to see. You showed me that patience and humility opens op the doors to true love. One that breaths together. Your little body on my chest as we both closed our eyes and expanded into trust of this very precious life. You connected me to all the birds in the sky and the pigeons on the streets. I will forever be in such deep gratitude of the way life touched me through you. Of what it means to be human and love the world. To not take any little living form for granted. Right at the moment I wanted to bring you to my new cycle, you decided to leave this physical body.
