As we close in on an INCREDIBLE 3.5 month trip, I promised to share my travel favourites to make living out of a suitcase for a quarter of a year both functional and bearable. ▪️Luggage - it’s hard shells only for me. I’ve had this @away pair for 4+ years - they no longer ship to Aus so I’m transitioning to @july (I use their Trunk luggage for my work/kit bags). The carry on with a laptop sleeve is a game changer if you don’t already have one. ▪️Packing Cube/Cells. Basically - portable drawers, where you can categorise your tops from your pants to your socks & undies and pack/unpack things so easily. The @kathmandugear range are the standouts for me, I’ve had these cells (pictured) for over 7 years and bought their newest range for Justin. They’re machine washable, durable, deep rectangles that hold their shape. The best space saver in their new range is the ‘double cell’’ cube to house socks, undies and bras in the one spot. ▪️Between skincare, haircare, body care, makeup & tools, packing toiletries for this trip was tough. You’re usually working with such minimal bathroom bench space between locations so I tried something different this trip and opted for a case I could literally pick up out of my suitcase like a vanity that required no unpacking/packing. I bought the @etoilecollective Duo Vanity Case - it’s bulky and weighty but it’s been the most functional, easy to use toiletry bag I’ve had to date. *make sure you pack a sleeping mask in your toiletry bag, there’s often lots of annoying LED lights on aircon units/hotel door exits/light switches & sheer blinds etc that can keep a light sleeper like me from a deep sleep. I use a silk mask from @slipsilkpillowcase ▪️Refillable empty squeeze pouches so you’re not carting around bulky packaging, especially for shampoos & conditioner! I got these off Amazon. ▪️@apple Air Tags have offered peace of mind in a season where everyone’s luggage is getting lost. I’ve had one in my checked luggage, carry on and passport wallet. ▪️Lastly, extremely comfortable & durable all-rubber @birkenstock have been a bridge between reef bootie & the comfiest sandals we own - perfect for both sandy & rocky beaches. ✈️X
