Maybe about a year ago, one of the most skilled musicians I know, @saxinniss mentioned to me "15 minutes per day. Everyone has 15 minutes." When someone like him gives advice, you listen. It took me a bit to actually be consistent with this, but after a couple months of committing, I'm feeling the benefits. The song I'm practicing, I haven't connected with a song like Steve Lacy's 'Give You The World' in a long time. I've learned this song, forgotten it, relearned it, and now I keep coming back to it to try to see how I can evolve it in my own way. This song has 17 unique chords and is the hardest song I've learned so far. I used to put so much pressure on myself, to "finish" learning a song...but now I realize that's not the way it works. You can always add, subtract, or replace when you feel like it. Today's version doesn't have to be tomorrow's version, and this keeps us present. The "finished" version of a song is just a foundation we can continue to build on. Just enjoy the process of learning, 15 minutes per day, and the rest takes care of itself.
