Art for Justice is proud to announce Artist Fellow George Anthony Morton @georgeanthonymorton 💫 George is a classically trained painter who developed his skills as a portrait artist first in federal prison, followed by the Florence Academy of Art both in the US and in Florence. His portraiture seeks to give proper representation and dignity to people from his own community that have not been represented in this way. George is the subject of a SXSW award-winning film Master of Light, which was recently acquired by HBO Documentary Films. George’s work is also featured in the Marking Time exhibition.
