I was raise being told that being beautiful means to be skinny. I used to measure my worth according to how many bones were visible on my body. I kept abusing my body to achieve an emaciated and frail look. When I met @fitqueenirene I was trapped in an abusive relationship with a fat phobic man that used to define me flabby and “fake skinny”. And I believed him. I hated everything about myself. I still struggle a lot with my self image but thanks to Irene and her teachings I learned to love my body in a way I never did. I learned to Celebrate my strength. My ability to work hard to achieve anything I want. My ability to recover. To survive. To move with poetry and intention through life. So: It is time to flip the script. Celebrate our strength and forget about that damn number on a scale. Thank you @fitqueenirene for always inspiring me.
