📖: Sydney Shaw thinks she’s found the perfect man, only to become suspicious when a string of murders targets women who were all dating an elusive killer. As Sydney begins to suspect her dream boyfriend may be hiding dark secrets, she realizes she could be the next victim if she doesn’t uncover the truth. 💭: The Boyfriend is the second Freida McFadden book I’ve read. Overall, I had mixed feelings about this one. I loved that Freida’s writing style continued to be binge worthy. The dual narration was fun to listen to. Sydney gives a present day perspective while Tom gives the before. Tom’s perspective was my favorite. I found Sydney to be naive, unlikable, and boring. There were a few times where I was wondering why Sydney wouldn’t run the other way when there were glaring red flags. There were also a few actions in the book that didn’t make sense. I found the ending to be interesting as I didn’t guess one twist. If you love popcorn thrillers, you may enjoy this one. 💅🏽: @oliveandjune smooch 💋is the ultimate match for that cover! 💍: @jamesmichelle #bookreview #bookofthemonth #thrillerbooks #thrillerreads #bookish #alwaysreading #oliveandjune #oliveyourmani #athomenails #nailinspo #rednails
