Some photos from my first visit to Honduras since I was a baby. Vita, my mom’s nanny with her finger on Vita’s beautiful cheek, Celia and Norma, my grandma’s cousins Norma in her home with her son and my mother, portrait of Celia, Margarita, my mom’s cousin Vita’s hand with my mom’s hand. I sent my mom these pictures and asked her what came to her mind. After some back and forth, she said, “ Las arrugas de la piel, son tantos días transcurridos y las sonrisas regaladas de tantas cosas escuchadas y vistas ~ the wrinkles of skin, are so many days gone by and the smiles given to all the things heard and seen “ Through these faces and stories I see myself and my world more clearly. For that I am grateful. 💚💓❣️🤲
