Running on hope ...and actually French fries (because you see I was in France at the time 🤓) 😆🍟 Today is Abby’s birthday AND the most magical cross-country meet of the year (Griak!) so it’s no coincidence that @bravelikegabe just dropped 🌈ALL NEW MERCH🌈 that is as bright and beautiful as ever (thanks, @brooksrunning!!) 😍🌟✨ I imagine Abby picking out a full rainbow of goods knowing exactly who she’s going to give each item to brighten their day. She was totes the girl who would give other ppl presents on her bday—the Taylor Swift of thoughtful gifts and sweet notes of affirmation you didn’t know you needed but can’t live without. From glitter gel to fountain pen to quill and back again (iykyk and swifties know 😆🤓🖋), she’d send me a note on hard anniversaries and happy ones too and “just cuz I love you” no matter how busy her life might be in any particular season. I often feel at a loss over how to honor her beautiful life because I’m still very hung up on the tragedy of her death (thoughts for another day 💫) but imagining her excitement over the new BLG gear reminds me how much joy she got out of bringing other people joy —and that gives me a moment of clarity about how I can honor her today (and any day, really) 🎁🖋✨ First two pics by the endlessly wonderful @lukewebstr somewhere between Courmayeur, Italy & Chamonix, France last month 🌈🍟
