Being crowned Ms. Nang Sangkhan of Wat Lao Xaoput 2025 is a moment I’ll never forget and one i’ll always cherish. I’m honored to be given this title, but to me, it’s so much more than the name, crown, or sash, it’s a reminder to myself of where I come from and the culture that raised me ever since I was a kid. I want to take a moment to thank @rlcd_tn and my family for being my #1 supporters at all times. Thank you guys for loving me and pushing me to always do my best. Without you all, I wouldn’t have had this amazing opportunity to share with you all. It means so much to me that I can further the Lao culture by being titled this and being able to dance with RLCD. With that, i’ve gotten the chance to lead the dance Nang Keo which is so special to me because it’s a dance where i got to lead the people who i’ve grown such a strong connection with and who have helped shape me into the person i am today. Moments like these remind me of the importance to keep Lao culture and traditions going. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart. My heart is so full.
