Let me tell y’all a story: There was a kid from a small farm town in Michigan. His whole life was sports. He loved every second he was either on the football field or basketball court, but eventually had to choose one to pursue. His love for football made it an easy decision, but he knew that it was going to be a tough journey to follow in both of his big brothers’ footsteps. He always felt pressured to walk the same steps as them by winning a state championship and become a division 1 quarterback. He worked hard and had fun while doing it. Finally, it was his time to represent his school and town on the football field, but there were situations that held him back, made him doubt himself, and made him doubt his love for football. He realized he had to make an important decision that would derail his path and completely change everything. This was the best decision of his life. He had to make sacrifices to get to where he wanted to be. He had to move across the state his senior year, he had to abandon the legacy he was trying to upkeep, and most importantly, he had to leave his family and friends behind. However, moving to this new school gave him everything he needed. Awesome friends, amazing support, and a squad to ball out with. It was a freezing cold afternoon at school, several inches of snow on the ground, and this kid got pulled out of math class with a call from his dream school. You know the rest...
