In 1980, RBF initiated the RBF Awards in Arts Education to recognize and reward outstanding elementary and secondary schools across the United States. At a time of severe budget cuts to arts education in public schools, the awards encouraged support for high-quality arts instruction for young people nationwide. Today, RBF continues to support arts education with a grant to @arts_10566, a community nonprofit in Peekskill that provides free access to the arts to underserved youth.
