August 10th, in the culminating concert of Jessie’s week-long residency at the @TanglewoodMusicFestival, musicians from the @TanglewoodMusicCenter perform the East Coast Premiere of Jessie’s “Concerto Grosso”. The piece, co-commissioned by Tanglewood, is a two-movement work for mixed ensemble offering a contemporary take on the baroque practice of solo against ripieno dynamics, and improvisation in the solo part. In the days leading up to the concert, Jessie will join Boston University Tanglewood Institute students in rehearsals, lead chamber music coaching sessions, and host a series of masterclasses.
