Was a month long marathon of sweet family time as we drove up the coast of the North East— NYC to Rhode Island to Boston to Maine. We said hello to chosen family and goodbye to a grandparent and gave him our last hugs. Off to the stars he went. It’s wild how death lingers energetically. Even when you know it’s coming, it always creeps up on you. Even when you know it’s coming, the grief tightens until you can barely breathe. Even when you know it’s inevitable, we still wake up every day like it’s not. And so, even though death brings darkness, as the dawn, so does it bring the light. For each day since our goodbye, I’ve woken up with the reminder that every single day is a gift. It’s a short ride, it’s a wild ride, and it’s a beautiful ride if we let it. Rest in sweet peace 🕊️🤍.
