"Hello, I'm Kelly, and today is my 4 year anniversary of being a breast cancer survivor! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2018 while I was living in Australia. I underwent a double mastectomy 1 week after diagnosis and then immediately into starting my 16 rounds of chemotherapy. Not long after my first round of chemo, we discovered a lump in my throat which ended up being a totally unrelated and very shocking diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Now a scared 27 year old, far from home, with a double cancer diagnosis. Although this was an inconvenience to my time living abroad, I still had so much support and love from my friends and family all over & it sure didn’t stop me from continuing what I loved to do. Fast forward to today, I’m a better and stronger person because of what I went through. Things were very rough at times but I didn’t let cancer define me or take away all the things I loved.” 💗
