Dec 5, 2021, Oak was totaled and since then, the car has pretty much sat. Most of the time was me trying to figure out what to do with it. Last month, @efrenporsche was kind enough to come check out the car in person to give me his opinion on the car and just how extensive the fix would be. We both concluded that it’s definitely fixable but would require some serious time, money and skills. Also around the same time, @tomkearns found this shell on Pelican Parts and bought it for a project but ended up selling it due to finding another project. I was lucky that this shell was so close to Oak in terms of color and miles. Perfect donor car for Oak to have a new life. Car is a 990 964 Carrera 2. Some differences from the 1992 version but I think it will all come together nicely once it’s all finished. I am hoping wifey would enjoy driving this as it would be her perfect little weekend car but she doesn’t enjoy driving stick. Hopefully this Forest Green changes her mind. In the event she doesn’t want to keep it around, I will be selling this car. It does need paint work but before I spend money, new owner can possibly buy it off me slightly cheaper and do what they want. Car comes with no drivetrain so I will be transferring most of Oaks heart into this one. Oak had a strong motor so I hope that it translates over well. I am also interested in a 996 GT3 as a possible trade option. I will get a more clear idea by second week of December. Go time.
