This year wasn’t what I thought it would be- it was so much more. I learned a great deal about myself and also many new skills like how to let go and how to “match the investment”. During the happenings of this year, I questioned why; most recently why my phone was stolen, why there, why that day... but afterwards I was blessed with the various realisations. Looking back I’ve grown significantly as a person. Superficial things that used to matter no longer matter to me. I’ve realised who I am and what I don’t want. I don’t want the latest iPhone, I’m grateful to have recovered mine. I don’t want to party until early hours of the morning, I don’t want to sit at a table crowded with celebrities, I don’t want to be something other people will like- people who like me for who I am are the ones who matter. I don’t want to compete for a spot in the light but rather run my own race, the one marked out just for me. 💛
