Cyd. "Best frieeeeeend!!!" I'm writing this in disbelief. We've never really had a moment of sadness in the 15 years we've been homies. You were my clown partner, my dream talker, my secret keeper. The first person I told my wildest shit who made me feel normal. When I moved to NYC to live my dream, you were right behind me and we got our first place here together. It was epic. You swore I was gonna be "famous", so to lose you the day after the biggest night of my career selfishly feels like I made you proud enough, babyyyyyyy. Maybe. We redefined our artistry, discovered NYC and ourselves, and so much more together...& laughing nonstop along the way. I am endlessly proud of your achievements and your fighting spirit - you made cancer look like pubescent acne with your lust for life, resilience, compassion for others and infectiously joyful spirit. No matter how many times that mf came back, you put on your armor and gave it that gooooo. In the end, I still feel like you won. I am beyond grateful to God for placing us in each other's lives, for as long as it has been. I am broken now that you're gone, like so many others. Our whole family is missing a big piece.
