The chimney-like structures in organic shapes organized in various clusters on the roof terrace create an otherworldly setting to enjoy sunset. Located on the Passeig de Gracia (a notable walking street), this Catalan art nouveau rooftop and building is the creative work of Antoni Gaudi. The building and design was commissioned by Pere Milà for his family hence the name of the building Casa Milà. It is also called La Pedrera for its rough quarry stone-like facade. The building is comprised of 8 floors containing 20 apartments that were rented out while the Milà family occupied the main floor. There is currently still one resident living in this building while the original home and some apartments are open for public viewing. It became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984! Visiting tips: - Visit 1.5-2hrs before sunset so you can explore the various floors and admire the uniqueness of the building interior and original furnitures while listening to an audio guide as you make your way to the rooftop.
