A Fun Fact you may not know about me is that I was an in-salon educator for my first salon’s apprentice program. I had been an apprentice myself, meaning I didn’t go to cosmetology school, but earned cosmetology hours by working in a salon and receiving education from the stylists that worked there. I struggled in the beginning of my education with understanding the concepts of haircutting and coloring and my teachers were so instrumental in helping me become the successful stylist that I am today. I knew that I wanted to take all that I had learned and help those who would come after me to become confident haircutters and colorists like those who helped me. So, I became a teacher and worked with the apprentices that were a part of the program after I became a full time stylist. Flash forward to my current salon @lockandhue, where I am once again lucky to be teaching our apprentice alongside my co-owners @monicaautenzio & @vijay_joshua. Teaching and guiding others in their journeys is one of the most rewarding parts of my career to date. If you ever have thought about hair as a career, I encourage you to do it.
