Recent rainfall 🌧️ at Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park has seen most of the rock holes and gorges replenished. The rain stirs up life, with flowers blooming 🌸 and wildlife basking 🐦 in the fresh water 💧.
This is a great time to spot some of our burrowing frogs 🐸, tadpoles and even the shield shrimp 🦐 that is known not only to inhabit pools around Uluṟu and Kata Tjuṯa, but also thrives in pools on top ☝️ of the rock formations 😲
The pitjantjatjara word for water or rain is 'Kapi' 🌧️
👉This temporary water hole is located at the end of Walpa Gorge.
