Save these 4 UNDERRATED hikes on Oahu🥾 These four gems are great replacements for the dreaded Koko Crater Trail (the huge staircase that you see all over social media) and even the crowded Diamond Head hike that all tourists flock to. Full details below. Make sure to save/send this for your next trip to Oahu⬇️ 📍Lanikai Pillbox Trail - Length: 1.6 Miles Out and Back - Time to Complete: 1-2 Hours - Difficulty: Moderately Challenging - Tips: Wear sturdy hiking shoes so you don’t slip! This hike involves a very steep ascent and uneven terrain. There are some sections where you can hoist yourself up by grabbing onto tree branches. The panoramic views of Lanikai Beach below are 100% WORTH IT! 📍Kuli’ou’ou Ridge Trail - Length: 4.8 Miles Out and Back - Time to Complete: 3-4 Hours - Difficulty: Moderately Challenging - Tips: Start this hike early in the day to avoid the midday heat! Make sure you have proper footwear, water and sunscreen so you don’t come back looking like the lobster on your plate at Duke’s Waikiki. 📍Manoa Falls Trail - Length: 1.6 Miles Out and Back - Time to Complete: 1-2 Hours - Difficulty: Intermediate - Tips: You get to go through a lush rainforest with a ton of bamboo so I personally loved how it felt like you were in the jungle. Just needed a Tarzan to go with it. Make sure you prepare to get dirty, especially after it rains. I was covered in mud by the time I completed the trail so bring plastic bags to throw your clothes and shoes in and a towel to cover the seat in your car! 📍Makapu’u Point Lighthouse - Length: 2 Miles Out and Back - Time to Complete: 1-1.5 Hours - Difficulty: Beginner - Tips: This is a great beginner trail for people of all ages. It’s a completely paved trail. Wear light clothes and pack good tennis shoes and water. It is a complete incline but when you reach the top, it’s all worth it. #oahu #hikesonoahu #oahuhikes #thingstodoinoahu #honoluluhikes
