It’s taken time to process this information and it almost doesn’t feel real. I am about to embark on an adventure I didn’t think could be possible, yet here we are. Part of my adoption is an understanding of identity and the weight it holds. It’s such a unique lived experience. And in my case, a second chance at life, and what a beautiful reminder of this gift we called life. I will be melting into HOPE and ambition to seek more and more, don’t you worry. I’m in the middle of letter writing and who knows where this will land, maybe this is the final stop? But perhaps there’s more to unravel. Whatever the path looks like, I don’t care. Because as of the 6th of June, 2022 I officially found out the name of my biological mother. And whilst I wish I could share her with you, there’s still more for me to comprehend when it comes to revealing this information. As this new beginning eventuates, I will share what I can.
