Since I can remember, Diwali has always been a time to fill every corner of our home and life with light and joy—especially as the days get a bit shorter and sometimes gloomier. Growing up, I couldn’t wait to help light the diyas, wave my sparklers, and see the house come alive with color. Now, raising my kids far from where I grew up, it feels even more important to keep these traditions alive. I want them to feel the same excitement, the same magic, and to know that even when things get a little dim, there’s always a way to bring in some light. Celebrating with them brings back that giddy feeling I had as a little girl living in India, who couldn’t have imagined these moments today. 🪔💛
