When @patagonia_climb reached out to @madaleinesorkin and I about writing a story about our trip to the Hulk and climbing partnership, both Mad and I were nervous. There were layers to our trips that we had never unpacked, and these unspoken wounds felt like things that might be better left outside of uplifting climbing media. What resulted, though, was a beautiful journey of inter generational healing and a very human portrayal of the challenges of relationship in underrepresented communities.
