When you step up for righteousness the opposition will do everything in its power to destroy you so you can never step again. I have been experiencing that opposition my whole life from within community and outside of it. Which is why I make sure my steps are with intention and with affirmation. Being honored for stepping up for the first time in my life was an extremely emotional experience infront of so many people I have never met before. Having my ancestors present during such times carried me from one place to another yesterday. Thank you to @thebrandphoenix for nominating me for such an achievement. And seeing me for what I am humbly doing. Social media paints a picture that makes people think I am all about myself but the truth it’s for a global cause. And to be awarded the @blaqapp “Hidden Gem” award along so many legends is a high honor.
