We’re thrilled to be a part of the Kaleidoscope Project - an interior design project created to sustainably preserve a beautiful 1906 historic firehouse on Tyler Street in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, featuring several Universal Furniture pieces! It has been repurposed into four, two-bedroom, two-bathroom residential units and the designers share that, “We attempt at every level to create a sustainable project, from the repurposing of historic structures, to the sourcing of all our products.. we support local trade and consider indigenous sustainability to be paramount. (Our projects) emphasize quality of life and socioeconomic equality, measured by the needs of the local community for future generations.” This reimagining was done by four celebrated BIPOC designers and teams, including.. ∙ Rasheeda Gray of @grayspaceinteriordesign ∙ Everick and Lisa Walker Brown of @everickdesigngroup ∙ Virginia Toledo of @toledogeller ∙ Denise Gordon and Tanya Lewis of @austingraydesigngroup ∙ Marilyn Lavergne of @marilynlavergneinteriors Photography: Tim Cree, @creepwalkmedia Universal products featured: ∙ Love.
