Staking is a process for softening leather. Inside this machine there are numerous oscillating rods that cause the leather to flex slightly. By adjusting the speed and force we can dictate how soft the leather will be when it comes out the other side. Staking is often a preferred method for softening as it changes the appearance of the leather very little (usually).
