So saddened by the Bolt Creek Fire from this past weekend. That whole area is so beautiful and Mt Baring is one of my favorite mountains. It’s a mountain I see from so many different places and angles. It always stands out because it’s so unique looking and just towers above its surrounding area. So it was so sad to the mountain on fire from this past weekend and so terrifying to see the video of the two hikers stranded on the mountain during the fire. So glad they made it out safely and so impressed with how they made it off the mountain using GPS to find an alternative route to get out with the main trail completely on fire. My heart also goes out to all the people in the surrounding area who had to evacuate knowing they might lose their homes to the fire 💔
