So I flew up to Sydney for 24 hours to shoot this with @pinterest and bloody hell, how cool is this?
From an idea to an actioned response, Faces of Australia has lead a new way of education; and the leaders in social media heard us. A huge thank you to @pinterest for having us on the Global Ads Summit. Knowing that Faces of Australia was the first paid partnership idea pin on a global scale is surreal.
The campaign’s success relies on teamwork. Each creative talent member, @centennialbeauty and @maccosmeticsanz have depicted leadership, vulnerability and dedication.
Using social media as a platform has highlighted voices from the BIPOC community in a way that mainstream media lacked. REAL stories, lived experiences, transparency all intertwined with artistry and creativity has made this a campaign worth celebrating.
When I started Faces of Australia, I posted the first collaboration voluntarily. I wanted the title to remind both the creator and the media of who represents our country. What it actually means to be a person in Australia. And here we are. To snowballing into its very own column on @centennialbeauty, to then sponsored by one of the planet’s most inclusive brands and to now being recognised by two of the globes social media leaders, I’m just so proud.
Where purpose meets elevation, we’ve been part of the change.
