We can’t help but smile when we see family photos posted of people having fun at Jimmy Jerome Memorial Park in Rose Hill, North Carolina since its improvement was one of our Duplin County projects in 2023. The House of Raeford Sports complex includes multiple baseball, softball, and football fields serving the active needs of hundreds of children and it’s been SO FUN for us to see all of your game day photos in our news feed this season!! We are committed to making community investments that make generational impact so we love these family photos we spotted of Diane Beasley, FLOCK Board Member and House of Raeford Farms Owner, with her family at Jimmy Jerome cheering on her grandson’s team (in front of the playground donated by Smithfield Foods).
GET THE BACKSTORY:
The park has been around for over 50 years and as time passed the facilities began to show their age, and the need for renovations became apparent. Since youth development is a pillar of community outreach for House of Raeford Farms, the company’s CEO and owner Bob Johnson, along with his son Cowan Johnson, decided to step forward and undertake a plan to make the necessary improvements as part of the House of Raeford Sports Complex.
A project of this magnitude also required the assistance of individuals and other companies from the area. We are still so grateful to everyone who for partnered with us on this project: Bradshaw Clearing and Grading, Inc., Seegars Fence Company, Casteen Plumbing, Four County EMC, Duplin Sod, Dean Wells, Duplin Signs, Davey Cavenaugh Electric, Town of Rose Hill Maintenance Department. Bobby Ward, Johnathan DeVane, Mike & Kim Tyndall & Brad Rivenbark.
